The Georgian Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic will strive to offer same day appointments to registered patients of the clinic. The aim of the clinic is to have patients call when they are unwell and have them seen by the Nurse Practitioner the same day or the very next. Prescription renewals and any other non-urgent issues should be by appointment only, and can be booked by calling the office during the week the appointment is needed. This will provide you access to your health care provider when you really need it.

When you make an appointment please tell the receptionist your reason for the visit, this allows for the appropriate amount of time to be booked for your appointment.

If you are going to miss an appointment please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. A late cancellation policy is in effect

Lab Results

If you have an abnormal lab test, you will receive a call from us. We do not call you if the results are normal. You may wish to check your results with the Nurse Practitioner at your next visit to the Georgian Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic.

Prescription Renewal

In order to properly assess your medication needs, prescription renewals may require an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner. In some cases they may ask your pharmacy to phone the requisition over to the Georgian Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic and have them book your appointment two weeks prior to running out of your medications. You may be required to complete blood or urine tests when renewing your medications.

Please note: It may take between 2-7 days for your renewal to be completed.

Notes, Letters and Form Completion

Completion of letters or forms for school, work, and insurance companies will require an appointment.  Please note this may require thirty (30) days or more for completion. The completion of forms may require payment of fees.

When you arrive at the clinic

Please check in with reception and bring your health care to each visit. Inform reception of any changes of name, address, work or phone numbers.

We try to be on time and we would like you to be also. You may have a short wait if we have an emergency or other complication.

If you are late for your appointment, you may be asked to re-book for another time.
