This year’s theme for Nutrition Month is: Good For You!!

What does healthy eating look like to you?  How we eat is different from one person to the next as what we eat is based on culture, food traditions, personal circumstances and nutritional needs.  There is no “one-size-fits-all” way of eating.  Registered Dietitians work with individuals to develop a unique plan based on their health, preferences and needs to address their nutritional concerns.

Have you ever heard of the saying “Don’t Yuck my Yum”?  The meaning behind it is to reserve judgement on what others eat as what you perceive may not be so tasty may be delicious to them and a part of their family traditions or cultures.  Imagine the adventures you could have with your food by trying a new dish that may be outside your comfort zone.  Check out this link for some new recipes that may excite your taste buds: www.nutritionmonth2021.ca

Keep in mind food is “Good for You”.  Food is meant to nourish you, heal you, excite your senses and be enjoyed.
